West Indies gain vital points to move up ICC rankings after series draw
Kandy, Sri Lanka The West Indies gained some crucial rating points in the just concluded three-match series against Sri Lanka to move closer to Pakistan in the ICC Test Championship table released on Sunday. The two teams played to three draws in the series as a combination of bad weather and a resurgent West Indies performance with both bat and ball deprived the home team of a single victory as the series ended on Sunday at the Pallekele Stadium, in the central city of Kandy.

West Indies draw Test Series 0-0 as rain has final say at Kandy
Kandy, Sri Lanka The third and final match in the ERI Test Series between West Indies and West Indies ended in a draw with no play being possible on the fifth and final day Sunday because of rain. The covers remained on the pitch and outfield at the Pallekele Stadium after heavy rain Saturday night and again Sunday morning.

West Indies reach 303 for 8 on another day of heavy rain
Kandy, Sri Lanka – Rain continued to disrupt the 3rd ERI Test match between West Indies and Sri Lanka, with just 22.3 overs of play possible on Day 4, Saturday. In the time available the Windies moved to 303-8 from their overnight 244-5. Over 200 overs have been lost in the match so far due to bad light and rain.

I want to get a big one, says Darren
Kandy, Sri Lanka – West Indies batsman Darren Bravo says he is enjoying his time in international cricket and is trying to use every innings as a learning experience. The 21-year-old left-hander closed the first day of the 3rd ERI Test against Sri Lanka on 63 not out as the Windies reached 134-2 on another rain-hit day. He added 115 for the second wicket with Devon Smith, who made a well-compiled 55 on his return to Test cricket at the Pallekele Stadium.

To win series in subcontinent would be massive, says West Indies Coach
The West Indies were kept indoors on Tuesday as the team’s preparations for the 3rd ERI Test match against Sri Lanka were hampered by heavy, afternoon rain. This however did not dampen the spirits and Head Coach Ottis Gibson indicated his team will be ready for Wednesday’s start of the match at the new Pallekele Stadium in the central city of Kandy.

Baugh hits 50 as 2nd Test ends in a draw
Colombo, Sri Lanka The 2nd ERI Test between West Indies and Sri Lanka ended in a predictable draw on Saturday as over 200 overs were lost to rain and bad light. The first three days were all cut short, the fourth day was completely washed out and the fifth day got started after lunch.

Colombo, Sri Lanka – Heavy rain washed out the fourth day of the 2nd ERI Test between Sri Lanka and West Indies at the R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium. The rain, which has plagued the match, started Thursday evening and continued all day on Friday and prevented any play. There are also doubts of play on Saturday’s final day.

Darren Bravo hits classy 80 but Windies lose crucial wickets
Colombo, Sri Lanka Darren Bravo made a brilliant 80 but fell shortly before the close as Sri Lanka gained the upperhand over West Indies on the third day of the 2nd ERI Test match at the R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium on Thursday. The polished left-hander played some superb shots hitting six boundaries and four straight sixes but was the second wicket for part-time off-spinner T.M. Dilshan at a crucial stage in the match.

Roach keeping it straight and fast
West Indies fast bowler Kemar Roach is working hard and the hard work is paying off. The 22-year-old bowled a superb new ball spell which rocked the Sri Lanka top order on the opening day of the 2nd ERI Test at the R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium, on Tuesday. The home side closed the day on 84-3 off 37.2 overs on a day cut short by rain and bad light.

Roach and Sammy strike before tea
West Indies opening bowlers Kemar Roach and Darren Sammy were brilliant in the first session of play as the West Indies captured three Sri Lankan wickets on the opening day of the 2nd ERI Test match at the R Premadasa International Stadium on Tuesday. At tea the home side reached 83-3. Roach has so far taken 2-24 T.M. Dilshan bowled and Tharanga Paranavitana well caught at second slip by Dwayne Bravo. Sammy has 1-25 from 17 consecutive overs. He took the key wicket of Mahela Jayawardena bowled through the gate from a ball that cut back.

Gayle climbs into Test Top 10 after amazing triple-century
Chris Gayle has rocketed into the top 10 of the Reliance Mobile ICC Player Rankings for Test batsmen for the first time in his career after stroking a magnificent 333 against Sri Lanka in the Galle Test which ended in a draw on Friday. The West Indies opener's second career triple century, which came off 437 balls and included 34 fours and nine sixes, lifted the 31-year-old from 21st position to 10th spot in the latest rankings which were released on Friday.

Galle, Sri Lanka - West Indies dominated Sri Lanka in the drawn opening ERI Test at the Galle International Stadium. Having been asked to bat a second time Sri Lanka started the final day on 89 without loss and ended at 241 for 4 with opener Tharanga Paranavitana missing a century by five runs.

Windies A to bat first against Pakistan A in four-day match
West Indies A Team will bat first against Pakistan A in the 1st four-day "Test" match at the Arnos Vale Sports Complex, on Thursday. The visitors won the toss and sent the Windies in to bat. Earlier on the tour the West Indies won the T20 Series 2-0, while the Pakistanis won the 50-over 2-0 with the other match tied.

Windies in full control at lunch on Day 4
West Indies continued to have the upperhand against Sri Lanka on the fourth morning of the 1st ERI Test match at the Galle International Stadium, in this southern coastal town. Some disciplined bowling and superb fielding saw the Windies take three wickets in the extended session as the home side went to the break on 264-6. They are replying to 580-9 declared, of which Chris Gayle made a monumental 333.
